We commence our assault with THE TRUTH MATRIX, a powerful shirt-ripping pump blend that will have you ballooning like a blimp during your movements. Through nitric oxide amplification and quenching your cells’ thirst, you’ll have the bloodflow you need to rock through your sets.

We begin with 6,666 skin-ripping milligrams of L-citrulline, an amino acid that plays an integral role in the urea cycle and in cardiovascular health.[1-3] Once in the body, citrulline is converted into arginine, which then goes onto become nitric oxide.[4,5] There is perhaps no better ingredient on the market for promoting vasodilation, and therefore stimulating blood flow in the muscles.

L-citrulline is backed up in DVST8 by 2,000 milligrams of NO3-T arginine nitrate, a two-pronged pump ingredient we've seen in other Inspired formulas, shown to provide wicked blood flow, vasodilation, and pumps.[6] Nitrate converts to nitric oxide with one pathway, and while arginine is a nitric oxide precursor in another. Research has shown a strong improvement in athletic performance when supplementing arginine in the 1.5 to 2 gram range.[7]

This blend starts with the classic 3,200 milligram dose of beta alanine. The source of that famous tingling effect, beta alanine is most importantly an endurance booster. It’s a building block of carnosine, a molecule that buffers lactic acid in muscles.[8] This means less fatigue, and more reps.

Cocoa bean extract is standardized for theobromine, which has been shown to improve energy levels, enhance mood, and stimulate thermogenesis.[9,10] By inhibiting adenosine, theobromine can improve alertness and motivation.[9]

Naringin is a bioflavonoid derived from citrus maxima that has been shown to suppress metalloproteinases-9 (MMP-9) expression, which contributes to oxidative stress. As a result, physical fatigue may be decreased with the supplementation of naringin.[11]

Starting off with a powerful 400 milligrams of caffeine coming from 325 milligrams of smack-you-in-the-face caffeine anhydrous and 100 milligrams of Infinergy dicaffeine malate (which yields ~75mg caffeine), DVST8's DARK blend sets itself up to be one of the more formidable energy-boosters on the market, without going over the top.

SYNapsis (citrus aurantium extract) is a powerful source of synephrine, one of the best energy and fat-burning ingredients we have at our disposal. Synephrine targets the beta-3 adrenoceptors in the body’s stored fat tissue,[13, sparking a cyclic adenosine monophosphate cascade that results in the pounds melting away.[14]

To round out the stimulants, we have DVST8 Dark's own Luciferene (Lotus Leaf Extract). Lotus leaf extract consists of stimulatory constituents that have been shown to enhance mood, focus, and energy via serotonin receptors.[15,16] It provides an excellent euphoric edge to the harder stimulants in the mix like caffeine and synephrine.

While all of that energy is great, you’re setting yourself up for a major crash and burn if your cells aren’t receiving the hydration they need to function. 

We begin, of course, with the most recognizable electrolyte: salt. While salt gets a bad rep, it is absolutely vital for maintaining proper hydration. With a bold dose of 770 milligrams of sea salt, we’re certainly not at risk of sodium deficiency as we pound the weights.

CoLean is a blend of Alpha-GPC (300mg) and Citicoline (200mg). Choline is an essential nutrient for proper organ function in general,[25] but our interest lies in its role as a substrate for acetylcholine, also referred to as the “learning neurotransmitter”. Helping to signal muscle contractions,[26] acetylcholine is responsible for an enhanced mind-muscle connection during training sessions.

DMAE dl-bitartrate also belongs to the cholinergic family. It’s structurally similar to choline, and can further help improve memory[27] and may enhance concentration.[28] In addition, there is some evidence to suggest that it can improve mood and overall sense of well-being.[29]
